About Us

The formation and philosophy of Jason's Friends Foundation, created in 1996, was inspired by the life of Rocky and Lisa Eades' son Jason William Eades (April 7, 1986 – November 11, 1995). To read his story, please click Jason's Story.

Originally Jason's Friends Foundation had little money and focused more on providing personal assistance for families such as fixing meals and helping with shopping. It quickly became evident that what families needed most was financial assistance. For many years now, the majority of help we give families includes some sort of financial support. To raise money to meet this critical need, the idea of our fundraising event, Bowl for Jason's Friends, was born.

Since 1998, our annual Bowl for Jason's Friends event is our only fundraiser organized by the foundation. This event is a fun-filled family affair for everyone in the community and around the state to help raise money for the families we support, whether as a bowler, a contributor to a bowler or as a sponsor. To learn more or donate to the event, please visit our Bowl for Jason's Friends page.

The vital help we are able to provide means that Wyoming families whose kids are battling childhood cancer and brain or spinal cord tumors have the opportunity to maintain their quality of life, while focusing on the health of their child.

Since the inception of Jason's Friends Foundation in 1996, over $4,700,000 has been expended to Wyoming families. It is through the generosity of our donors that we have been able to provide this level of assistance to our Wyoming families. We have 124 families enrolled in our program.

In addition to our annual Bowl for Jason's Friends event, we rely on grants and donations from individuals, organizations and corporations to provide financial help for our families. Jason's Friends Foundation would appreciate your financial support for this great cause.
